South Coast - Ellingham Lodge (Rocky Bay)

 

Ellingham Lodge is situated in Rocky Bay itself within easy walking distance to the local launch site from which we operate. The close by beach offers great fishing, swimming, snorkeling and for those that surf...great waves!

 

 

ACCOMMODATION

 

Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, television and M-net. All chalets are wooden cabins on stilts and offer great views. They are neat, clean and well serviced suiting most people’s needs and tastes.

 

• The spacious 3 bedroom chalets sleep 7 people and have private bathrooms.
• The comfortable 2 bedroom chalets sleep 6 people. The main bedroom caters for 2 adults (double bed), and the second bedroom sleeps an additional 2 people with single beds. The spacious lounge has a double sleeper couch that sleeps an additional 2 adults.
• The cosy 1 bedroom chalet sleeps 4 people with the main bedroom catering for 2 adults (double bed), and bunk beds to cater for an additional 2 people.

 

 

 

RESTAURANT

 

The BELL & ANCHOR is the lodges bar and restaurant and offers great food, a wide range of drinks and a cosy atmosphere with sea views.

 

On site amenities include:

 

• A take away based out of the local ski boat club.
• Well stocked shop.
• Only 8 km to Scottburgh where you will find banking facilities, shops, restaurants, bars and night life.

Happy Wanderers is situated +/- 6 km south of Rocky Bay and overlooks a secluded stretch of beach locally famous for the amount of action that takes place here during the annual sardine run. Whether you want to surf, fish or just soak up the sun then this is the place for you.

ACCOMMODATION

 

• BACHELOR CHALET: fully furnished for 2 adults with private bathroom. Fridge, stove, cutlery and crockery supplied.
• 1 BEDROOM CHALET: fully furnished double bedroom, lounge, kitchenette and bathroom. Sleeps 4 people.
• 3 BEDROOM CHALET: fully furnished, two double bedrooms, lounge, kitchenette and bathroom. Sleeps 6 people.
• 4 BEDROOM CHALET: main bedroom en suite. Sleeps 8 people.

 

All linen is supplied in the Chalets, excluding swimming towels and dishcloths.

CAMP SITES

 

80 sites, all are well shaded with electrical points as well as water points servicing all sites. Neat and clean ablution facilities are also provided.

All chalets and campsites have beach frontage....you couldn’t get closer to the beach...

 

On site amenities include:

 

• The Wrecked Heron Restaurant and Ladies Bar has an uninterrupted view of the waves. (The bar is an old wooden ferry boat with an interesting history).
• A shop and take away.
• Fresh water swimming pools.

Wild Coast - Seacastle Guesthouse - Agate Terrace - North Bank Port St. Johns

 

Accommodation is in the form of a private, fully equipped beach front house situated off the north bank of the mighty Umzimvubu River known as agate terrace and is a stones throw from a 3km stretch of pristine beach front.
Warm, friendly South African hospitality and good cuisine adds to the total experience.

Five nights of the safari will be eat out nights at varies lodges in the vicinity.
Guests will be transferred to and from the launch site daily and a variety of outings will be available for late afternoon or off sea days.
